Phoenix is the graduated consequence of incremental conscious choice. By the time Phoenix builds the fires of sacrifice in the space that is central to its life, death and resurrection—it is the embodiment of self-reliant, conscious choice.
The choices were made all along the way. Indeed the choices defined its way. From before the time it knew what it was to become, it already chose to be itself as it was. This is entirely possible because it cleaved, as natural creatures do to its fundamental nature.
Whether prideful king of the jungle
Whether fire-warmed flamingo on the hot salt flats
Whether stomach-strong ostrich on the sands
Whether scavenger ravaging in the carcass
Whether black as a cawing crow
Whether white as a serene swan
Whether iridescent as a poison-eating peacock
Whether self-sacrificing as a bleeding-heart pelican
Phoenix's cyclic journeying begins in emptiness. Emptied of any hunger other than to soulfully sacrifice heart and body into the fires of its own singular intention to offer itself to the source of itself, for the purpose of offering itself.
Released through death is the infinitude of source as soul. Soaring ever-effulgent out of the remnants of what was,
is the self-aroused pulse of essential offering.
The spiritual process is a stripping of the overlays and obscurations that prevent naked amplifications of electromagnetic and sound waves to input and output without programmed filter and encrustations of conditioned overlays.
The alchemical process is defined by its graduated dissolution of one qualitative state of being into another—from gross into subtle, from human into divine, from death of separateness into reintegration of all aspects of the Absolute, that which we are in essence.
