Did you play with eyes opened wide to take in the magic of reality? So real were the wilds of life for me that even if the most learned spiritualist were to try to write it all off as illusion secondary to God consciousness, I would be gob stoppered in awe at the colors, contrasts, patterns, peace and explosivity of motion. My ears would be filled already with the thrumming of one pulse through space, and harmonics of wind on wing.
The first time I ever heard "Don't be so dramatic" and "Don't hold on to your story", was when I heard the modern man of the West. I felt as if living in full color and wraparound visibility had become intolerable and punishable by humiliation for being an organic, non-homogenized and therefore uncertified human.
The perceivable magic precipitated by nature's intercommunications with herself in her myriad forms is oh so intricate. Delicate. I have seen the Green Man. Pan. Have you? While his presence is becoming seemingly more intangible, his story dies hard, and so do those who have been commissioned to tell his tale. My story is his. He can have it.

Beautiful Mal...most inspired of yours to date. Such is the brew just thinking of him...aaaaahhhhhhh
Have I seen him?
I dont think so..
Have I glimpsed him hidden in his cave. Watching with quivering primal thighs, hooves light and pawing at bare earth.
Nostrils flared with timed bellow breath given to rise magically.
Un-called forth bellows risen.
Almost-a non existant bridal holding him back.
Have I glimpsed him lying in reeds, relaxed and playing.
Have I seen him?
Have I seen him stop in the forest and tilt his head...
Searching for that aroma-its Source.
Its owner singing Clandestinely.
Whistling ripples echoing painstakingly loud and clear.
I want to see him.
Have you seen him?
Uma I've been thinking of Pan since reading this post.
An appreciation that is growing inwardly.
A subtle realisation that exemplifies my sovereignty but could only be opened by a shared discussion.
I found this piece online:
"Wisdom is the spirit and the wings of the spirit, Love is the shaggy beast that goes down. Gallantly he dives, below thought, beyond Wisdom, to rise again as high above these as he had first descended. Wisdom is righteous and clean, but Love is unclean and holy.
The Crown of Life is not lodged in the sun: the wise gods have buried it deeply where the thoughtful will not find it, nor the good: but the Gay Ones, the Adventurous Ones, the Careless Plungers, they will bring it to the wise and astonish them. All things are seen in the light—How shall we value that which is easy to see? But the precious things which are hidden, they will be more precious for our search: they will be beautiful with our sorrow: they will be noble because of our desire for them. Come away with me, Shepherd Girl, through the fields, and we will be careless and happy, and we will leave thought to find us when it can, for that is the duty of thought, and it is more anxious to discover us than we are to be found.”
- From The Crock of Gold by James Stephens, 1912
No, it does not sound fantastically or weird. I ask, because I have heard and read about him from other sources, because I spend lot of time in nature, listening, communicating and I feel what might be his presence sometimes, I never actually saw him though and have asked myself before already why I do not see him.
Amazingly, I have seen him in other people's paintings. And I want to interview them. I want to know what they know, what they have experienced. That is why I am asking here. Have you seen him? Not because I think you have to, and not because I myself can show you. Rather, it's because I am genuinely curious in the workings of grace relative to mindful, effortless presence. Where I come from and where I live now, it is not uncommon to converse about how we see the unseen.
Question is, why would you want or need to see him? Doesn't this all sound fantastical to you. Wierd? Time-wasting? Over-dramatized? Why bother with it all? Dont you have something better to do?
Fundamental, un-pasteurized, organic, raw humanity is needed! Basic, simple communion with the forces of nature, in pristine nature. Even so, the chances of seeing the Green Man, Pan (known by other names in the East) are slim, relative to the chances we ourselves have faith in the elemental magic of reality. I saw him, because he wanted me too. I expect he knows I am not afraid to see what is not mine to control.
I have not seen the Green Man Pan, but I have been looking for him. What is needed to see him?
Go with and not against nature and with her grace you may go, if you so choose, through and beyond her organic, living limits as a natural emissary of her original cause. The key teaching here is being real, open and clean.
Western man to Green man.
What do you teach...
